About Me
I am a retired electrical engineer from the semiconductor industry. Retired after 30 years in the industry so was involved in the early days of integrated circuits. I graduated from San Jose State University. I have been licensed since 1967/68 timeframe, first as WN6DIJ and then upgraded shortly afterwards to Advanced Class and call was changed to WA6DIJ and it has been that way ever since. I have no intention of changing my call sign at this late date....hi hi. During 1979-80-81 I lived and worked in Singapore and had the call sign of 9V1UO and was always involved in a pile-up any time I turned the rig on and called CQ. At the time there were only about 100 hams in Singapore and less than half of those were active so I was considered rare DX to those chasing their DXCC award. I collect and restore antique radios and have a museum website at www.AntiqueRadioMuseum.org if you would like to look at some of my collection. Hi Jim,
Thanks for the welcome message. My half brother Bill worked at Grand Trunk Western RR in Michigan as a dispatcher. He's now retired and living the good life.
